In the role of Corporate Lawyer you will work together with two direct colleagues. You’ll work on the daily legal aspects and privacy aspects that a crypto company has to deal with. As a legal expert, you will advise departments on the implementation of laws and regulations and provide legal support in daily activities.

What will you be working on?

As a Corporate Lawyer, you will be working on tactical and strategic legal issues within our organization. The issues range from privacy issues to financial-related topics.

There is a legal registration requirement for crypto companies that entails several obligations, such as the reporting of unusual transactions that take place on our platforms. Our organization also processes personal data in a variety of other procedures. As an in-house lawyer, it will be your task to optimize these processes and further professionalize them.

Furthermore, as a corporate lawyer, you will be engaged in the following tasks:

• You’re closely involved in establishing new partnerships, assessing the legal framework the organization faces, and recording the agreements;

• You map out the legal implications of new products, and advise the MT and the board on the best way to set this up;

• You advise the MT about the privacy regulations, the processing of (special) personal data, and the business processes that are relevant to this;

• You monitor and increase awareness of privacy among your colleagues;

• You draw up recommendations and policy documents, and monitor their correct implementation.

What do we expect from you?

For this role we are looking for someone who sees it as a challenge to take on projects independently and to optimize the various existing processes. You can quickly switch between projects, you like to be challenged, and you enjoy tackling legal issues in a creative way. Furthermore, you have the following credentials:

• A completed university degree in law;

• At least three years of relevant work experience;

• Good command of the Dutch and English language;

• It is an advantage if you have been recently involved in privacy issues.

Is experience in crypto a requirement? No, but we would love it if you have an affinity with the industry and/or would like to learn more about it.
